Medical Treatments Skin disease Dr's Adam and Eugene Bodian are leaders in the dermatology community. With over 60 years of combined experience, there are few skin diseases that have not been diagnosed and treated in their office. Skin Cancer We treat all forms of skin cancer using the most updated medical and surgical techniques available. In addition, we perform "scar-less" surgery with superficial x-ray therapy in our state-of-the-art radiotherapy unit. With x-ray therapy, we can treat most skin cancers without any needles, cutting the skin or bleeding. The treatments are painless, quick and there is no downtime associated with this treatment. We also offer a new treatment for treating pre-cancerous lesions, called Phytodynamic Therapy. Before the procedure, a topical medicine is applied and absorbed by the lesion. Fourteen to 24 hours later, the area is exposed to laser or a light source, which helps destroy the lesions. One or two treatments are typically necessary. Acne We offer several options for effectively treating acne ranging from traditional methods to more revolutionary. In addition to the traditional methods and medications for treating acne, Dr's Eugene and Adam Bodian have developed their own combination programs to treat acne which can incorporate laser, chemical peels, oxygen treatments and microdermabrasion. We now offer a new treatment of acne, called Phytodynamic Therapy that uses laser technology to reverse this disease with three treatments. Our physician-trained medical aestheticians further perform an acne facial, designed to minimize pore size and deep-cleanse the skin. Rosacea We offer several ways of treating inflamed rosacea-type skin, ranging from our own physician-formulated topical prescription-strength cream for treating rosacea skin, as well as performing laser treatments. Our physician-trained medical aestheticians further perform a Rosacea Facial specifically designed to calm sensitive, irritated, blotchy skin with immediate soothing results. Eczema We offer topical agents and a regimented skincare program to effectively treat and prevent recurrent eczema. Ultraviolet, laser and Grenz-ray therapies are excellent treatment options available to our patients. Psoriasis We treat all forms of psoriasis ranging from the mildest to severe. In our new facility patients can receive all the new topical medications, the next generation biologic treatments in addition to PUVA (ultra violet A + Psoralan), UVB (ultraviolet B) and laser therapies. For those with extremely stubborn lesions, we are one of the only facilities in New York to offer Grenz-ray treatment. Mole removal We offer the most updated surgical and laser related technology available for the removal of unwanted moles with minimal scarring.
